The Ukrainian Jubilee Coin Dedicated to the 300th Anniversary of David Guramishvili will be Sold at the National Bank of Georgia

At the Money Museum of the National Bank of Georgia it is possible to purchase: a 500 Lari gold commemorative coin dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the end of the World War II and the Victory over Fascism, commemorative silver, silver-nickel and bimetallic coins dedicated to the 2000th Anniversary of Birth of Christ and to the 3000th Anniversary of the Georgian Statehood minted by the National Bank of Georgia, and also 1 Lari silver coin packed in a plastic, velvet or wooden box.
In the near future a 2 Grivna jubilee coin dedicated to the 300th Anniversary of David Guramishvili minted by the National Bank of Ukraine will be sold in the Money Museum of the National Bank of Georgia. The obverse of the coin depicts two national ornaments – Georgian and Ukrainian. Above there is a semicircular inscription “Ukraine” and “the State Emblem of Ukraine”, in the lower part – the inscription “2 Grivna” and the Mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine.
The reverse of the coin features the portrait of David Guramishvili in profile against the background of the hilly Georgian landscape. On the peak of one of its mountains a temple is located and to the left and right there is a semicircular inscription in Ukrainian and Georgian languages: “David Guramishvili”, in the lower part there are the dates of birth and death: 1705-1792. The issue limit of the jubilee coins dedicated to the 300th anniversary of David Guramishvili is 30 thousand.
According to the decision of the National Bank of Georgia it is also envisaged to issue the series of commemorative and jubilee coins with the portraits of public figures, statesmen and representatives of science and culture of Georgia. It is also decided to issue a 200 Lari denomination gold coin with the portrait of Niko Nikoladze, the great Georgian state figure on it.
