Macroprudential Policy

In order to maintain financial stability, the National Bank of Georgia implements macroprudential policy. This implies the identification, evaluation and constant monitoring of systematic risks and the implementation of response measures to reduce those risks.

Financial stability issues are discussed by the NBG’s Financial Stability Committee, which determines macroprudential policy and makes decisions about measures to be taken.
