This document aims to provide information about the supervisory approaches of NBG to commercial banks, investors, depositors and other stakeholders in order to support accurate expectations towards the financial sector and prevention of procyclical behavior in the sector.
This handbook reflects the principles on which supervisory actions are based on and values which are used as a guide by employees involved in supervision. The document sets out risk categories which are assessed under GRAPE and assessment criteria as well as allocation of supervisory resources and organizational structure.
