The President of the National Bank of Georgia Mr. Roman Gotsiridze met Mr. Wolfgang Ion, Director of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation Projects in South Caucasia and Mr. Melis Atonen, Chairman of the Financial Committee of Parliament of Estonia, who is in Georgia at the invitation of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation. The guests were interested in the current economic processes in Georgia, particularly, in the situation existed in the financial sector of the country.   At the meeting  Mr. Melis Atonen, the Chairman of the Financial Committee of the Parliament of Estonia, who held the post of Economic and Communication Minister of Estonia in 2003-2004, talked in detail about the processes going on in Estonia related to the integration of the country into Euro zone. In Estonia Euro shall be put into circulation in the beginning of 2007.   The Foundation of Friedrich Naumann has been functioning eight years in the South Caucasian region and   3 years in Georgia. The Fund in Georgia is basically interested in the issues related to the education, protecting human rights and election.
