The National Bank of Georgia Publishes Tourism and Hotel Sector Survey
The Georgian Tourism and Hotel Sector Survey conducted by the National Bank of Georgia provides a detailed overview of the importance and characteristics of tourism in the pre-pandemic period, and describes the consequences of COVID-19 and recovery rates in this sector.
The study explains the significance and individualities of tourism in Georgia, provides the assessment of credit risks in the tourism sector, and introduces the initial survey of the hotel sector and the relevant statistics.
The survey includes detailed discussion of loans to hotel sector, based on NBG consolidated data, and contains certain financial indicators of borrowing companies sorted by geographical area and type.
The National Bank of Georgia has already introduced the results of the survey to commercial banks, with the involvement of the Georgian Bankers’ Association. From now on, the results will be available to the interested public through the official website of the National Bank of Georgia.
NBG continues working on analyzing different economic sectors, including Real Estate Development and Real Estate Management. The reports will be published throughout the year.
