Statement of The National Bank of Georgia For Customers

27 June, 2017

The National Bank of Georgia once again calls on the population to be maximally cautious when placing savings in various financial organizations. The emphasis is put on the companies that under Georgian legislation are not supervised by the National Bank and their activities are poorly controlled. In some cases, their activities are limited to the so-called "financial pyramid."

Organizations that offer coverage of debts in other financial institutions in exchange for placing their deposits have recently appeared at the market. They also disseminate untrue information as if they obtained licenses for financial activities from the National Bank.

The National Bank of Georgia once again warns the population to take the utmost care in managing their own savings, and make reasonable and informed decisions. In addition, it must be borne in mind that a very high percentage of profit on deposits most likely provides for a very high risk of loss of savings.

In order to evaluate potential risks, reconsider your already signed agreements and find out to whom you entrust your savings.
