The National Bank of Georgia (NBG) organized a financial education seminar for university students from Tbilisi and various regions.

The seminar aimed to enhance students' understanding of the NBG’s functions, key priorities, and the broader financial sector. Sessions covered topics such as financial market stability, consumer rights, financial reserve management, anti-money laundering measures, and the regulation of banking and non-banking supervision.

Participants also gained insights into the operation of the country’s main payment systems, the regulatory framework for securities markets and virtual asset providers, as well as recent technological advancements in the sector.

Designed to be interactive, the seminar allowed students to engage with speakers and ask questions after each session.

The event was held with the support of the Department of Youth Affairs of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth and brought together more than 40 students from both public and private universities.

Promoting financial and economic literacy among young people remains a key priority for the National Bank of Georgia. In recent years, the NBG has successfully implemented numerous educational initiatives and will continue to do so in the future.
