School Children Visited Money Museum at the National Bank of Georgia

Pupils of Tbilisi school No. 53 visited the Money Museum of the National Bank of Georgia. Mr. Roman Gotsiridze, the President of the National Bank of Georgia met them.   The pupils got acquainted with the exhibits and the history of the money circulation and later they saw the sights of the head office of the National Bank of Georgia.   The President of the National Bank of Georgia, Roman Gotsiridze presented the album “Money in Georgia” to Tbilisi school No. 53. The album depicts the centuries-old history of money circulation in Georgia.   A special educational program is effective at the National Bank of Georgia. This program enables the pupils of the different educational  establishments to get familiar with the money museum free of charge.   Money museum of the National Bank of Georgia is an educational establishment, which aims at popularization of the national heritage of the Georgian monetary units. Besides that, money museum provides the interested individuals with complete information about the world achievements in the spheres of numismatics and bonistics. There are 1300 exhibits displayed there. Exposition reflects the centuries-old history of money circulation in Georgia beginning from the 6th century B.C. till today. Here you can see also the currencies of different countries from all over the world.
