On August 27, 2009, CDs (Certificates of Deposit) at the nominal value of 15 000 000 GEL were sold at the 91-day, National Bank of Georgia Certificate of Deposit Auction #34.  The securities were purchased by five (5) commercial banks.  The minimum interest rate was 4.02%, the maximum interest rate was 4.67%, and the average weighted interest rate was 4.54%.
