On January  12, 2011, CDs (Certificates of Deposit) at the nominal value of 35 000 000 GEL were sold at the 91-day, National Bank of Georgia Certificate of Deposit Auction #2. The securities were purchased by five commercial banks. The minimum interest rate was 9.30%, the maximum interest rate was 9.72%, and the average weighted interest rate was 9.52%.
