Online Training for Current Judges and Assistants
An online training was held for current judges and their assistants at the initiative of the National Bank of Georgia and with the involvement of the State Insurance Supervision Service of Georgia. The project was implemented in cooperation with the High School of Justice and aimed at familiarizing with the legal acts and principles adopted by financial sector regulators, including the protection of consumer rights. The two-day online meeting was moderated by the staff of the National Bank and the State Insurance Supervision Service.
The training module, designed specifically for the judiciary, focused on consumer protection, as well as payment system legislation and assessment of consumer creditworthiness.
The judges and their assistants were introduced to the fundamental principles and approaches of the regulatory framework of the National Bank and the State Insurance Supervision Service, along with their vision for the protection of consumer rights.
It was noted that such trainings will facilitate future cooperation between regulators and the judiciary, including the sharing of judicial practice, and help the legal process focused on protecting the rights and interests of consumers.
