NBG’s Offering for Trainers and Training Organizations

NBG’s Offering for Trainers and Training Organizations

06 February, 2024

The National Bank of Georgia, in collaboration with its financial education platform, Finedu, is launching a new educational initiative aligned with the national strategy for financial education. This initiative aims to foster the widespread dissemination of financial literacy across the country by extending an invitation to trainers and training organizations to participate.

As part of this initiative, individuals and organizations interested in providing financial education will undergo specialized trainer training. They will be equipped with comprehensive training modules and educational resources tailored for independent delivery, accompanied by relevant financial education insights.

The initiative will unfold in two stages. In the first stage, scheduled for February 17-18, selected participants will engage in a two-day intensive training course covering key financial education topics, including:

  • budgeting
  • saving
  • loans
  • taxes
  • consumer rights, and
  • financial security

Subsequently, in the second stage, before end of May, trainers will design and execute at least one training session tailored to their priority segment. This session may focus solely on financial education or integrate it with other relevant subjects. The NBG will furnish trainers with necessary materials and intellectual support for their independent training endeavors.

Upon successful completion of both stages, participants will be awarded a special certificate by the National Bank of Georgia.

Participation in this initiative is free and requires registration.

It's worth highlighting that enhancing financial literacy is a primary focus for the National Bank of Georgia. To this end, the Bank has established the educational web portal www.finedu.gov.ge, dedicated entirely to financial education. The portal offers a wealth of educational resources, including publications, blogs, brochures, manuals, videos, and audio materials, aimed at empowering individuals with financial knowledge.
