NBG Research Conference 2024: Shaping the Future of Monetary Policy

The National Bank of Georgia welcomes submissions for the NBG Research Conference 2024. The international conference, "Shaping the Future of Monetary Policy," is scheduled to take place at Sheraton Grand Tbilisi Metechi Palace Hotel, Tbilisi, Georgia, on 12-13 December 2024. 14 December will be devoted to a social program for the participants.

The conference provides an important platform for researchers and policymakers to discuss the latest developments, challenges, and strategies in monetary policy. We are honored to announce that Robert Tetlow (Federal Reserve Board), Athanasios Orphanides (MIT), and Tobias Adrian (IMF) will be delivering keynote addresses.

We invite submissions of high-quality research or policy papers that contribute to the ongoing dialogue on key issues in monetary policy. Particularly relevant topics include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Risk Management in Monetary Policy-making
  • Monetary Policy in the Post-Pandemic Era
  • Measures of Inflation Expectations
  • Monetary Policy Communication with heightened uncertainty
  • Global Spillovers to Emerging Markets

    Paper Submissions
    For those interested in presenting at the conference, full papers in a PDF format should be sent to: Research@nbg.gov.ge. The deadline for submitting papers is 31 October 2024, and authors will be notified of the outcome by 10 November 2024.

    Practical Information: 
    There are no registration fees to attend the conference. However, participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses.
