
Natia Turnava to Deliver Keynote Address at SWIFT’s Premier International Conference
Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, Natia Turnava, will participate in SIBOS, the annual large-scale international conference organized by SWIFT, which brings together representatives of the financial industry from across the globe.
This year’s conference will convene global financial sector leaders to discuss payments, securities, fintech, financial inclusion, cybersecurity, and the fight against financial crime.
The Governor of the National Bank of Georgia will serve as the keynote speaker at the regulators’ panel discussion, The View from the Top, where she will address challenges facing the financial sector amid global economic fragmentation and the role of central banks in advancing financial services. Natia Turnava will also share the National Bank of Georgia’s experience in promoting financial innovation and regional cooperation initiatives.
As part of the conference, the NBG Governor and delegation members will visit the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and meet with representatives of Deutsche Börse Group to discuss prospects for future cooperation.
In addition, meetings are planned with international financial institutions, commercial banks, and leading companies. Among them, Natia Turnava will hold discussions with SWIFT, Murex, Nasdaq Calypso, the President of China’s Cross-Border Interbank Payment System (CIPS), representatives of the China Construction Bank, and other leading international companies specializing in financial markets and infrastructure.
The Georgian delegation also includes Alexander Khazaradze, Head of the Financial Markets Department, and Natalia Chkhoidze, Head of the Payment Systems Department at the NBG.
SIBOS, the global business forum, has a 47-year history. Each year, the forum brings together thousands of business leaders, decision-makers, and thematic experts from across the financial ecosystem.
