Natia Turnava Participates in Visa Anniversary Event

Natia Turnava, Acting Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, took part in the forum dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Visa operating in Georgia.

Global trends, challenges and prospects in the payments ecosystem were discussed at the forum.

Conveying her best wishes to the Visa representative office in Georgia for its anniversary, Natia Turnava focused on important achievements within the NBG-Visa partnership. The Acting Governor of the NBG noted that cooperation with Visa over the past quarter of a century supported the transformation of the financial services and payment systems landscape in Georgia, fostering the development of safe, sustainable and effective functioning of the payment system, one of the statutory objectives of the National Bank of Georgia.

"I am confident that our partnership will continue to develop, leading to further progress and collaboration in the future," Natia Turnava said.

To introduce cutting-edge technologies and promote financial inclusion, Visa played an important role in the formation of the payment system. Visa processes transactions between consumers, businesses, financial institutions and government organizations in more than 200 countries.
