Natia Turnava Participates in IMF High-Level Conference
Natia Turnava, Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, participated in the conference titled “Dealing with Geo-Economic Fragmentation” held in Amsterdam. This event brought together central bank governors from the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg Constituency of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
During the conference, Governor Turnava met with Jeroen Clicq, the IMF Executive Director and Alternate Director Marnix van Rij to discuss current issues and future cooperation.
Discussions at the event focused on the impact of geopolitical shocks on national economies, geo-economic challenges, and strategies to address them.
Attendees included Klaas Knot, President of De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB), Jeroen Clicq, Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Alfred Kammer, Director of the IMF's European Department, and Gert Jan Koopman, the Director-General of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Enlargement and Eastern Neighbourhood (ENEST).
The Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg Constituency of the IMF comprises Georgia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Andorra, Armenia, Cyprus, Israel, North Macedonia, Romania, Moldova, and Ukraine.
