Natia Turnava: "NBG continues to work intensively with the International Monetary Fund to restore the temporarily suspended program in the shortest time practicable"
"The National Bank of Georgia will continue to work intensively with the International Monetary Fund to restore the temporarily suspended program in the shortest time practicable", Natia Turnava, Acting Governor of the NBG, said at a meeting with Bo Li, Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund.
During the discussion, the parties expressed their desire to continue bilateral cooperation in order to implement current recommendations and swiftly restore the IMF-supported program (Stand-by Arrangement (SBA)) and complete the review.
The National Bank of Georgia has been successfully cooperating with the IMF since 1991. Today's meeting showed the same positive disposition that the Central Bank of Georgia and the Monetary Fund shared for years.
Natia Turnava, Acting Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, is participating in the Annual Meetings held by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank in Marrakesh.
