Natia Turnava Meets with the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Georgia, Mustafa Türker Arı

The Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, Natia Turnava, held an introductory meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Georgia, Mustafa Türker Arı.

The parties discussed current issues of economic cooperation between Georgia and Türkiye, opportunities to deepen partnership in the financial sector, and prospects for future cooperation. Natia Turnava briefed the Ambassador on the current state of the Georgian economy, the macroeconomic environment, and the monetary policy of the National Bank of Georgia. She emphasized the importance of maintaining the country's economic stability and the resilience of its financial sector.

During the meeting, it was noted that Turkish banks operate successfully in Georgia's banking sector, further contributing to the strengthening of economic and trade relations between the two countries. The parties also discussed the active cooperation between the National Bank of Georgia and the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye, which promotes the exchange of experience and strengthens institutional ties. They further reviewed potential projects that could be implemented within the framework of this cooperation.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their readiness to further deepen financial sector cooperation between Georgia and Türkiye.
