Natia Turnava, Acting Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, met with Maciej Czura, Head of the European Investment Bank Regional Office in the South Caucasus. Natia Turnava spoke about the monetary policy and current macroeconomic trends, and introduced the regional representative of the EIB to the reforms carried out by the NBG.

Acting Governor of the NBG thanked Maciej Czura for the assistance provided by the European Investment Bank and noted the importance of cooperation with the EIB.

"The National Bank of Georgia supports the financial sector’s increased role in the sustainable development of the country. The NBG, with financial support from EIB, is developing a climate scenario analysis framework. The project intends to develop climate scenarios for Georgia, assess the vulnerability of the commercial banks under these different scenarios and perform climate stress testing. The project started last year and we expect the first results by the end of this year. The cooperation agreement with the EIB includes the above project and other possible areas for cooperation for Greening the Financial System of Georgia. I hope that the close cooperation with the EIB will continue in the future," said Natia Turnava.
