Natia Turnava Meets with Governor of the Croatian Central Bank
Acting Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, Natia Turnava, met with Boris Vujčić, Governor of the Croatian National Bank (CNB), to discuss key economic and financial topics.
The discussion focused on Georgia's macroeconomic trends and financial stability, along with the National Bank of Georgia’s monetary and supervisory policies, which are fully aligned with EU standards.
The central bank leaders also reviewed the progress Georgia has made toward EU integration and explored future projects aimed at further advancing this goal.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that the National Bank of Georgia is committed to enhancing processes and diversifying its operations through active collaboration with central banks worldwide.
Natia Turnava highlighted the significance of Georgia’s membership in the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), noting that growing remittance flows underscore the importance of developing efficient payment systems between Georgia and the European Union.
The meeting also addressed other collaborative initiatives between the two central banks.
This discussion took place during the annual Conference on European Economic Integration (CEEI), organized by the Austrian Central Bank, which this year centered on the theme of European economic integration.
