Natia Turnava Meets with Chinese Ambassador to Georgia Zhou Qian

Acting Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, Natia Turnava, met with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Georgia, Zhou Qian. The meeting highlighted the strong cooperation between the National Bank of Georgia (NBG) and China, with a particular focus on enhancing future collaborations in the development of payment systems and financial services between the two countries.


During the discussions, Turnava emphasized NBG's commitment to improving processes and diversifying operations, actively engaging with central banks from various countries. She also noted that to deepen this cooperation and address mutual interests, future meetings between representatives of NBG and the Central Bank of China would be organized.


The meeting, held at the National Bank of Georgia, was attended by NBG Vice Governor Ekaterine Galdava, Head of Financial Markets Department Aleksandre Khazaradze, and Head of International Relations Department Giorgi Edilashvili.
