
Natia Turnava Discusses Georgia's Stable Macroeconomic and Investment Environment with Major International Investment Funds and American Investors
Natia Turnava, Acting Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, took part in the investor conference held by Bank of America within the framework of the Snnual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in Marrakesh.
At the conference, Natia Turnava introduced the attractive investment potential and stable macroeconomic environment of Georgia to the representatives of major international investment funds and American investors.
The conference was also attended by Mirza Gelashvili, Deputy Minister of Finance of Georgia, and Giorgi Laliashvili, Head of the Financial Markets Department of the National Bank of Georgia.
The Georgian delegation gave a presentation about Georgia to the conference participants - JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Fidelity Management and Research Company, Artisan Partner, Vanguard Asset Management, Abrdn Investment Limited and other high-rank representatives.
The meeting underscored the stable macroeconomic environment in Georgia, reduced level of inflation, vigilant monetary policy and the high economic growth recorded in the country in recent years, despite external shocks. The discussion also covered topics of interest to investors, such as the stability of the banking sector, de-dollarization and other areas.
The Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank will be held in Marrakesh until October 14. The leaders of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, as well as representatives of the economic teams from more than 200 countries of the world participate in the meetings.
