
Natia Turnava and Lasha Khutsishvili Meet with Delegation of US and UK Investors
The Governor of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG), Natia Turnava, and the Minister of Finance of Georgia, Lasha Khutsishvili, met with a visiting delegation of US and UK investors.
The international investors are visiting Georgia at the invitation of the NBG. The delegation includes leading global investment and financial institutions such as JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley Investment Management, Aberdeen, and MetLife, among others.
Natia Turnava and Lasha Khutsishvili briefed investors on Georgia’s macroeconomic environment, as well as its monetary and fiscal policies and overall investment climate. They also highlighted the resilience of Georgia’s banking and financial sector.
It was noted during the meeting that the Georgian banking sector is well-capitalized and maintains strong liquidity positions. The discussion also covered the development of the domestic corporate securities market and related investment opportunities.
According to Natia Turnava, despite global uncertainty, Georgia remains an attractive destination for international investors.
“At the invitation of the NBG, a delegation of international investors representing major global investment funds is visiting Georgia. They are interested in investing in the country through our capital market. During the meeting, we presented Georgia’s macroeconomic outlook. Despite global uncertainty, investors recognize that the country continues to develop, with manageable inflation and strong macroeconomic indicators, which enhance its investment appeal,” said Natia Turnava.
The meeting was also attended by Vice Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, Nino Jeladze, Deputy Ministers of Finance Giorgi Kakauridze and Ekaterine Guntsadze, as well as senior officials from both the NBG and the Ministry of Finance.
