In October 2009 the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 80.7 million USD, which is 0.3 million USD or 0.3 percent more than the same amount for the previous month.


 
88.6 percent of total money transfers from abroad fall on those eight big donor countries, from which the volume of such transfers exceeded 1 million USD in October. In September the share of these 8 countries constituted 89.7 percent of the total volume of money transfers.

In October 2009 6.5 million USD were transferred from Georgia, while in September 2009 this figure amounted to 6.3 million USD. The volume of money transfers from Georgia increased for Russia by 0.1 million USD or 5.3 percent.
