In March 2014, the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 120.5 million USD (209.8 million GEL), which is 7.8 million USD (13.6 million GEL), or 6.9 percent more than the amount in March 2013.

 

90.6 percent of the total money transfers from abroad came from 9 big donor countries, with the volume of transfers from of these countries each exceeding 1.5 million USD in March 2014. In March 2013 the share of these 9 countries constituted 90.7 percent of the total volume of money transfers.

In March 2014, 14.2 million USD (or 24.6 million GEL) was transferred from Georgia, as compared to 11.3 million USD (or 18.7 million GEL) in March 2013.
