In June 2016, the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 105.4 million USD (230.6 million GEL), which is 4.9 percent (4.9 million USD) more than the amount in June 2015.


 

91.7 percent of the total money transfers from abroad came from 13 largest donor countries, with the volume of transfers from of these countries each exceeding 1 million USD in June 2016. In June 2015 the share of these 13 countries constituted 92.1 percent of the total volume of money transfers.

In June 2016, 16.5 million USD (or 36.1 million GEL) was transferred from Georgia, as compared to 14.3 million USD (or 32.5 million GEL) in June 2015.
