In February 2017, the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 94.1 million USD (248.7 million GEL), which is 17.9 percent (14.3 million USD) more than the amount in February 2016.

 

 

90.0 percent of the total money transfers from abroad came from 11 largest donor countries, with the volume of transfers from of these countries each exceeding 1 million USD in February 2017. In February 2016 the share of these 11 countries constituted 87.8 percent of the total volume of money transfers.

In February 2017, 14.6 million USD (or 38.5 million GEL) was transferred from Georgia, as compared to 15.7 million USD (or 39.0 million GEL) in February 2016.
