In February 2011 the volume of money transfers from abroad constituted 72.3 million USD, which is 10.6 million USD or 17.2 percent more than the same amount for February 2010. During this period, the volume of remittances grew from Russia (by 5.7 million), Italy (by 1.2 million), as well as for several other countries.

 
90.9 percent of total money transfers from abroad fall on those 10 big donor countries, from which the volume of such transfers exceeded 1 million USD in February. In February 2010 the share of these 10 countries constituted 91.3 percent of the total volume of money transfers.

In February 2011 7.8 million USD were transferred from Georgia, instead of 5.6 million USD in February 2010.
