Money Transfers in August
In August 2016, the volume
of money transfers from abroad constituted 105.8 million USD (245.4 million GEL), which is 25.3 percent (21.4
million USD) more than
the amount in August 2015.
93.7 percent of the total money transfers from abroad came from 14 largest donor countries, with the volume of transfers from of these countries each exceeding 1 million USD in August 2016. In August 2015 the share of these 14 countries constituted 92.1 percent of the total volume of money transfers.
