Memorandum of Cooperation Signed between the National Bank of Georgia and Ilia State University
Koba Gvenetadze, Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, and Nino Doborjginidze, Chancellor of Ilia State University, signed a memorandum of cooperation.
The goal of the document signed between the National Bank of Georgia and Ilia State University is to expand cooperation to provide wider access to financial education and raise awareness among the young generation.

"Financial education, as an integral part of consumer rights framework, is one of the priority areas of the National Bank of Georgia. We recently developed a revised National Strategy for Financial Education, seeking to expand the circle of new partners and interested parties, and enhance our current partnerships. We have enjoyed successful cooperation with Ilia State University in recent years in the field of financial education. The University is a member of the Strategy Management Committee. Several interesting projects were implemented as part this cooperation, including the NBG collaboration with the European Fund for Southeast Europe Development Facility (EFSE/DF) and the Export Development Association (EDA) to produce the handbook for micro and small entrepreneurs titled Relationship with Financial Institutions and Making Financial Decisions. The handbook was included in the list of additional textbooks for students of the School of Business. However, considering that the financial education of the young generation is one of the priority areas in our strategy, I am sure that the readiness expressed under this memorandum will take our cooperation to an even higher level", said NBG Governor Koba Gvenetadze.
