Kvareli Money Museum Hosts Week-Long Exhibit for International Museum Day
The Kvareli Money Museum of the National Bank of Georgia kicked off a special exhibit in honor of International Museum Day and Independence Restoration Week. From May 18th to 31st, the museum welcomed school groups, including those from underprivileged backgrounds, for a unique learning experience.
Led by Acting Governor Natia Turnava, students explored the fascinating history of money in Georgia. They examined state and corporate tokens, securities, and photographs from the First Democratic Republic (1918-1921). The exhibit also delved into the evolution of Georgian currency production and showcased a diverse collection of international currencies.
This unique museum, the only one of its kind in Georgia, highlights the significance of money as a symbol of national identity and an art form.
The exhibition at the Kvareli Money Museum will run until May 31, welcoming visitors from Thursday to Monday, from 09:00 to 18:00.
