Koba Gvenetadze to Participate in the Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank

Koba Gvenetadze, Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, will take part in the Annual Meetings held by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB) in Washington DC.

 

Meetings are planned with Bo Li, Deputy Managing Director of the IMF, Paul Hilbers, Executive Director of the IMF, Sehrat Köksal, President of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB), and representatives of other organizations. Koba Gvenetadze will be the keynote speaker at the high-level meeting of Central Bank Governors of the Middle East and Central Asia. The NBG Governor will also participate in the Capacity Development talks and the Bretton Woods Committee conference.

 

The award ceremony of the Global Finance international publication will be held as part of the Annual Meetings. Koba Gvenetadze was named among the world's best central bank governors in 2022, his fifth award in a row.

 

The executives of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, as well as representatives of the economic teams from almost all countries of the world participate in the Annual Meetings of October 10-16.
