International Investment Position of Georgia

The net international investment position (IIP) of Georgia amounted to USD -32.3 billion (GEL -87.1 billion) as of December 31, 2025, accounting for -87.7 percent of annual GDP (the same item for December 31, 2024, accounted - 87.1 percent). Net IIP deteriorated by USD 2.5 billion compared to the previous year.


International assets totaled USD 19.9 billion (GEL 53.7 billion) as of December 31, 2025, increasing by USD 2.6 billion compared to the previous year.


International liabilities increased by USD 5.1 billion during the year, reaching USD 52.3 billion (GEL 140.8 billion).
