International Investment Position of Georgia

The net international investment position (IIP) of Georgia amounted to - 30.0 billion USD (-84.3 billion GEL) at the end of 2024, accounting for - 89.0 percent of annual GDP (the same item for September 30, 2024, accounted - 90.8 percent).  Net IIP deteriorated by 163.7 million USD compared to the previous quarter.


International assets totaled 17.4 billion USD (48.7 billion GEL) by December 31, 2024, decreased by 353.8 million USD compared to the previous quarter.


Liabilities decreased by 190.0 million USD during the quarter totaling 47.4 billion USD (133.1 billion GEL).
