International Investment Position of Georgia improved compared to the previous quarter
The net international investment position (IIP) of Georgia amounted to -29.5 billion USD (-82.8 billion GEL) for June 30 2024, accounting for -93.3 percent of the last 4 quarter GDP (the same item for March 31 2024 accounted -96.9 percent). Net IIP increased by 779.0 million USD compared to the previous quarter.
International assets totaled 16.2 billion USD (45.4 billion GEL) by June 30 2024, increased by 157.0 million USD compared to the previous quarter.
Liabilities increased by 622.0 million USD during the quarter totaling 45.6 billion USD (128.2 billion GEL), down by 622.0 million USD quarterely.
