The National Bank of Georgia, as part of its financial education strategy, conducted a two-day training program aimed at enhancing basic financial knowledge for various segments of society. The NBG Department of Financial Education, in collaboration with the Center for Vocational Training and Retraining of Convicts, organized this initiative specifically for female inmates.

The training covered essential topics such as budgeting, personal budget management, balancing expenses and income, financial security, and fraud prevention. Ketevan Akhalkatsi, the Head of the Department, provided insights into financial products like loans, deposits, deposit certificates, and interest calculations. Participants also learned about dealing with financial institutions, including how to compare contract terms and select banking products effectively.

Additionally, the training focused on financial security, highlighting different types of financial fraud and their identifying characteristics. A total of 17 participants attended the training, and educational manuals were provided to the institution's library from Finedu.
