Eurobasket 2022 Collector Coins are Available for Pre-orders

Eurobasket 2022 Collector Coins are Available for Pre-orders

08 November, 2021

The National Bank of Georgia is pleased to start practicing pre-orders for collector coins. The first collector coin available for the pre-order is our Eurobasket coin, scheduled for the release in 2022.

To meet the growing interest in the NBG collector coins, we are pleased to start accepting pre-orders for our Eurobasket 2022 collector silver coins (weight 15.5g), as we are committed to increase the availability of our collector coins for numismatists, collectors and all other interested parties. The coin will be released in the second half of 2022. The design and price of the coin will be known following their release.

Pre-orders for coins will be accepted only through the online store of the National Bank Money Museum from November 8, 2021 to November 14, 2021. To pre-order, interested parties log in to the online store website -https://moneymuseum.nbg.gov.ge .

When pre-ordering coins, customers pay GEL 50 per unit of coin in advance at the online store (the cost of pre-order, which is part of the full fee for the same coin).

After the coins are released and available for sale, the pre-ordered coins will be handed over to their owners from the cash desk of the Cash Center of the National Bank of Georgia, following the payment of the full sales price on the spot (i.e. after they pay the difference between the sales price and the prepaid amount).

The on pre-order agreement, to be concluded with the customer of the National Bank of Georgia online store, gives detailed information on placing pre-orders and further procedures. The customer is notified about the agreement before placing the order. It is also available for all interested parties on the website of the National Bank Money Museum -https://moneymuseum.nbg.gov.ge/.

Importantly, the pre-order arrangement does not cover the coins already planned for release: King David the Builder and Queen Tamar coins, to be released in the near future as part of the Kings of Georgia series.
