First Vice Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, Ekaterine Mikabadze, took part in the international event “Astana Finance Days 2025”, organized by the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) in Kazakhstan’s capital, Astana.
Within the framework of the event, Ekaterine Mikabadze highlighted the importance of regional cooperation, noting that the National Bank of Georgia is actively working to promote regional financial integration in areas such as payment systems, financial technologies, capital market development, and innovative financial services.
She also emphasized the significance of harmonizing regulatory and supervisory practices to further strengthen regional cooperation. First Vice Governor Mikabadze underlined that the Georgian market operates in line with internationally recognized principles, including fairness, transparency, and enforcement of legislation.
“I believe that if we act on the basis of common principles regarding how we regulate the financial sector, how we conduct prudential supervision, and how we protect investor rights, this will facilitate the cross-border provision of financial services and bring benefits to all parties involved,” stated Ekaterine Mikabadze.
Organized by the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) since 2018, the event has evolved into a key platform in the region for fostering financial innovation, attracting investment, and supporting sustainable economic development.
