Ekaterine Galdava Meets with Vice President of the Central Bank of Korea

A delegation from the National Bank of Georgia, led by Deputy Governor Ekaterine Galdava, visited the Central Bank of the Republic of Korea during an official trip to South Korea. As part of the visit, Deputy Governor Galdava met with Yongreol Lee, Vice President of the Central Bank of Korea. 


The meeting focused on strengthening future cooperation and discussing ongoing projects. Topics included Georgia's payment systems, the Central Bank’s role in fostering innovation and ensuring financial stability, stable macroeconomic environment and the NBG’s policies that contribute to the country’s overall financial resilience. 


During the visit, the NBG delegation also engaged with representatives from the International Relations Department of the Central Bank of Korea. Discussions centered on sharing experiences related to monetary policy, financial market development, and other key areas. 


Additionally, the delegation reviewed advancements in payment systems and the fintech sector, including ongoing projects and innovative initiatives. The meeting was attended by representatives from several NBG departments, including Payment Systems, Financial and Supervisory Technologies Development, Supervision of Payment Service Providers, Registration of Virtual Asset Service Providers, and International Relations.
