Assets under management of investment funds domiciled in Georgia exceed GEL 540 million

Georgia’s investment fund market continues to grow dynamically. At the end of the second quarter of 2026, the total assets under management of investment funds increased 2.4 times compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching GEL 546 million. As of 30 June 2026, the Georgian investment fund market comprised 11 asset management companies and 24 investment funds under the National Bank of Georgia’s regulatory framework.

The National Bank of Georgia is also starting to publish data on the assets under management of individual Investment Funds. The data are available on the National Bank’s website and are published in accordance with Decree №170/04 of September 22, 2020 of the Governor of the National Bank of Georgia “On the Approval of the Rule on Authorization, Registration, Recognition and Regulation of an Investment Fund.”

Notably, the activities of investment funds and asset management companies in Georgia are regulated by the Law on Investment Funds and the regulatory framework developed by the National Bank on its basis. The framework is based on relevant EU directives and the core principles of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO).
