Applications Open for BARTA 2025
The competition for the “Best Annual Report and Transparency Award” (BARTA) has officially begun.
With a six-year history, BARTA has become an important part of Georgia’s corporate landscape. The goal of the competition is to enhance the quality of reporting and transparency among Georgian companies. Following recent progress in sustainable reporting, the award has taken on an even more significant role.
This year, the competition is organized by the National Bank of Georgia, the State Insurance Supervision Service, the Service for Accounting, Reporting and Auditing Supervision (SARAS), and the Fund of Beneficiaries of the Accounting Reform, with the support of the World Bank and the Business Association of Georgia.
Applications open today and will be accepted until November 30, 2025.
It is noteworthy that, as in previous years, the BARTA competition is open to first-category companies and groups, as well as to all entities of public interest.
The awards ceremony will be held in February 2026, where winners in 10 prize categories will be officially announced. Among them, as last year, BARTA will also recognize the “Best Debut Company” a newcomer that demonstrates a high standard of reporting in its very first year of participation.
BARTA was established in 2019 within the framework of the EU–World Bank joint project on financial inclusion and accountability, following the European Union’s corporate reporting reform initiative.
BARTA 2025 is supported by the World Bank’s Enhancing Accounting, Auditing, and Sustainability Reporting (EAASURE) Regional Program, implemented by the Centre for Financial Reporting Reform (CFRR).
