“Forward, Forward – Finansobana”: The National Bank of Georgia Launches the First Georgian Interactive Children’s Theatrical Play on Financial Education
The National Bank of Georgia’s financial education platform, Finedu, in partnership with Tamashobana, has developed Georgia’s first interactive children’s theatrical performance on financial literacy, titled “Forward, Forward – Finansobana.” Several commercial banks Liberty Bank, Bank of Georgia, TBC Bank, and Basisbank joined forces to support the project.
The play’s characters introduce primary school students to key financial concepts such as saving, entrepreneurship, financial goal-setting, and financial safety in a clear and engaging format.
Performances of the interactive show will continue across various regions of Georgia until 30 November, with shows scheduled in Batumi, Ozurgeti, Kutaisi, Gori, Telavi, and Borjomi. The audience will consist of students from schools whose teachers actively participated in Finedu’s programs throughout 2025.
Notably, the play attracted more than 400 students in its first few days. According to participating children and teachers, the interactive format makes the learning process more enjoyable, accessible, and dynamic. Over the course of the current tour, approximately 700 students aged 8 to 12 will have the opportunity to attend.
For several years, Finedu has been promoting financial literacy through innovative formats. In collaboration with Tamashobana, it has developed educational comics, board games including the financial association game “Finansuri Asotsiatsiaobana” as well as age-appropriate teaching materials such as crosswords, puzzles, card games, and other resources.
Students and teachers attending the performances also received additional themed educational materials, further supporting the continued integration of financial education within schools.
