13 October, 2021

Becoming a part of the international tradition, the financial sector of Georgia launches a campaign to raise cyber security awareness for the first time this year. The event is initiated and encouraged by the National Bank of Georgia. Cyber Security Awareness Month is celebrated worldwide in October. This year’s slogan is #DoYourPart #BeCyberSmart.

Advances in digital technology provide faster and more efficient access to financial and other related services, while also increasing certain cyber risks. Raising public awareness on the security of banking/financial information is one of the priorities of the National Bank of Georgia. The country's central bank has already implemented a number of projects in this area.

The National Bank of Georgia, with the kind involvement and support of the Bankers’ Association and six commercial banks - TBC Bank, Bank of Georgia, VTB Bank Georgia, Basisbank, Liberty Bank and Pasha Bank Georgia, is pleased to announce a competition for posters and slogans on cyber security.

The National Bank will run cyber awareness month projects, together with the financial education portal Finedu (www.finedu.gov.ge) and the commercial sector, throughout the month.
