The National Bank of Georgia publishes the negotiated Environmental and Social Commitment Plan (ESCP) following public consultations and working meetings with the World Bank.
In order to strengthen the country’s financial resilience and, where necessary, enhance access to financing for resolution purposes, the National Bank of Georgia, in cooperation with the World Bank, is working on a project related to the financing of the bank resolution process.
The project envisages the possibility of allocating potential contingent financing from the World Bank to the Resolution Fund. The objective of the project is to further develop the resolution framework and its operational environment.
In the context of the above-mentioned work, the National Bank of Georgia publishes the negotiated Environmental and Social Commitment Plan (ESCP) following public consultations and working meetings with the World Bank. The purpose of this document is to ensure that the financing project is implemented in accordance with the World Bank’s Environmental and Social Standards and this Environmental and Social Commitment Plan. It should be noted that the original version of the document was prepared in English and has been translated into Georgian.
