As of August 1, 2010 the gross volume of deposits in the banking sector (w/o interbank deposits) has reached historical maximum and exceeded GEL 4.84 billion (in national currency – GEL 1.38 billion, and in foreign currency – USD 1.88 billion). This data is a historical maximum taken both as a gross indicator and separately as deposits made in national and foreign currencies.
