Varlam Ebanoidze, Head of the Financial and Supervisory Technology Development Department of the National Bank of Georgia, participated in an international conference organized by Ant International and the Global Finance & Technology Network, held in Shanghai, China.

The purpose of the meeting was to foster technology and innovation through international partnership, with the goal of building a more efficient, sustainable, and inclusive financial ecosystem.

Within the framework of the conference, Mr. Ebanoidze took part in a panel discussion titled “Trust as a Competitive Advantage in Fintech.”

 

During the discussion, representatives from various European countries working in the fields of finance and technology emphasized the future development of fintech and its significance across Europe. They examined how trust has emerged as a key factor in advancing financial innovation and developing national fintech ecosystems.

The conference also brought together leaders from the banking and financial services industry from different countries, who shared their experiences and valuable insights regarding the current state of financial innovation, its accessibility, and ongoing transformation.
