Ukrainian Coins Minted by the National Bank of Ukraine Were Sold out from the Money Museum of NBG in One Day

100 pieces of 2 Grivna jubilee coins dedicated to the 300th Anniversary of David Guramishvili, minted by the National Bank of Ukrain were sold out from the Money Museum of the National Bank of Georgia in one day.
The National Bank of Georgia requested the National Bank of Ukrain to provide the additional lot of above-mentioned coins. However, it turned out that the total drawing of coins had already been sold out. The Ukrainian coins have become a numismatic rarity.
The obverse of the jubilee 2 Grivna coin dedicated to the 300th Anniversary of David Guramishvili depicts two national ornaments – Georgian and Ukrainian. There is a semicircular inscription - “Ukraine” and the State Emblem of Ukraine in the upper part of the coin. In the lower part you can see the inscription - “2 Grivna” and the mint logo of the National Bank of Ukraine.
The reverse of the coin features the profile of David Guramishvili against the hilly Georgian landscape. There is a temple on the peak of one of the mountains and a semicircular inscription “David Guramishvili” in Ukrainian and Georgian to the left and right. In the lower part you can see the dates of poet’s birth and death: 1705-1792.
The issue limit of jubilee coins dedicated to the 300th Anniversary of David Guramishvili is 30 thousand. Coins were available for 5 Lari. After such a rapid sale the price of coins will slide up.
