Coin Design and Description

The main composition of the obverse of the coin is the image of the King George the Brilliant, holding a scale in one hand as a symbol of his legal reform (this detail is gilded on the silver coin), and a scroll in the other, with the text  from "Laws" written on it. The coin also bears the inscription in Georgian "გიორგი ბრწყინვალე" and the years of his reign 1299-1346.

The main composition of the reverse of the coin is the image of the crown of George the Brilliant (featuring the details of the royal crown of the Bagrationi Dynasty and the miniatures of the Georgian manuscript of the 15th century psalm). The coin bears inscriptions: "5 ლარი", also "საქართველო", "2023", "GEORGIA" and an ornament on the king's clothes from the obverse in between.
