On August 6th of 2013, the National Bank of Georgia issued the banking license to the JSC “Finca Bank Georgia”, which has been operating as the microfinance organization in Georgia since 1998. 

“Finca” is an internationally acclaimed microfinance institution, operating in 22 countries in Eurasia and on the continents of Africa and South America.

Licensing “Finca” in Georgia as a banking institution is a part of international strategy aimed at transforming this institution from the microfinance organization to a commercial bank.

Currently, the Georgian banking sector is represented by 21 commercial banks.
