The National Bank of Georgia continues works for issuing the collector coins within “The Kings of Georgia” Series and, at present, announces a competition for the selection of the design sketches for the 5-lari silver and gold collector coins dedicated to the King Bagrat III and the King Parnavaz I.

 

According to the decision of the Board of the National Bank of Georgia, the collector series “The Kings of Georgia” includes the kings, whose rule turned out to be a crucial in the history of the country. The series presents the common socio-political and general cultural-historical context of the country, highlights the distinctive stages that, at different times, radically changed the line of further development of the country. In this way, the Georgian national currency helps to popularize the country's historical heritage
